Air Fryer Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Sweet Heat

Ingredients: Serves 4-6

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tsp granulated garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1-2 tbsp honey
  • Red pepper flakes, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Brussels sprouts: Trim the ends and cut the Brussels sprouts in half. Toss them in olive oil, granulated garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Air fry: Place the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 14-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking and checking doneness level.
  4. Toss with cheese and honey: After cooking, transfer the Brussels sprouts to a bowl. Drizzle honey over them and toss with grated Parmesan cheese until evenly coated.
  5. Finish: Sprinkle with red pepper flakes for a kick of heat and serve.

Why This Works:

The granulated garlic ensures even seasoning and crispiness in the air fryer, while the honey and Parmesan balance the flavors perfectly. The red pepper flakes add just the right amount of heat for a delightful contrast.
